Since I took a photography class in high school, I was interested in taking pictures. If I’m honest I think it was because I’m not very good at other artistic endeavors. I can’t even read my own handwriting, let alone drawing a cartoon or painting a scene. Photography seemed more my speed, letting the scene in front of me speak for itself.
I slowly started gathering a few things here and there: a DSLR, then a better DSLR, then some different lenses for it. It stayed simple for a while. In 2019, my grandfather passed away. He had a habit of diving head first into things, buying the latest and greatest everything. Photography was one of those things. I inherited the “collection.” It’s been over a year and we are still going through boxes and discovering new things he had, so below is an archive of all the cameras, lenses, and photo gear, including things I’ve added on my own.
